It is with heavy hearts that we are postponing CommunityHealth’s All Involved Block Party (scheduled for July 12th) until further notice. We made this decision in response to confirmed plans for immigration enforcement activity targeting public events in Humboldt Park this weekend.
This weekend, our unwavering priority is the safety—both physical and emotional—of our patients, staff, volunteers, and community. What was meant to be a celebration of unity and care is now met with threats aimed at sowing fear and division.
We reject these efforts to intimidate and erase members of our community. We stand firmly in the belief that every person deserves dignity, belonging, and protection. Now more than ever, we remain rooted in justice, committed to showing up for one another, and unshaken in our resolve to build a world where all are safe and welcome.
CommunityHealth will not be silenced. In the face of fear and injustice, we rise—with courage, with purpose, and with love for our community.
We invite you to raise your voice alongside ours to defend the fundamental right to health care for every Chicagoan. Together, we will protect access, uphold dignity, and ensure that no one is left behind.
This Block Party was intended to launch All Involved, our new program that invites both individuals and organizations to join the movement to ensure quality health care for all. The goal of All Involved is to dismantle barriers and elevate access to culturally competent care for underserved communities in Chicago. Whether through advocacy, hands-on engagement, or organizational support and communications, every effort counts in building a healthier, more equitable city.
