Location: West Town
Training: Triage training (2hrs), 3 shadow shifts (3 x 4hrs)
Prerequisites: Negative TB test within the last year, Hep B vaccination records
Skills Needed: No prior experience required, but foundation in basic patient care a plus. Strong interpersonal skills – you will often be the first person a patient interacts with during their clinic visit.
Responsibilities: Triage volunteers will take weight, height, and vital measurements (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, pain index, blood glucose levels) and record interpreter needs for scheduled patients.
Commitment: Two 4hr shifts/month for one year
Onboarding and training of new clinic volunteers is restricted as we manage limited on-site capacity in order maintain physical distancing, preserve PPE, etc. However, if you would like to hear from us when we are able to resume onboarding of new volunteers, please sign up for our waitlist.
