Triage

Location: Lederman Family Health Center (West Town), CommunityHealth at Onward House (Belmont Cragin), CommunityHealth at Enlace (Little Village)

Training: 1hr info session (virtual), 2hr training (onsite), three 4hr shadow shifts (onsite) 

Prerequisites: Negative TB test within the last year

No prior experience required, but a foundation in basic patient care is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary – you will often be the first person a patient interacts with during their clinic visit. Bilingual Spanish/English or Polish/English a plus. 

Responsibilities: Triage volunteers will take weight, height, and vital measurements (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, pain index, blood glucose levels), and manage flow of patients through clinic 

Schedule/Commitment: At least two 4hr shifts/month for one year
