Successful volunteer nurses have at least one year of professional experience and are comfortable with a high level of autonomy.

Responsibilities: Volunteering as a nurse at CommunityHealth is a unique opportunity where your nursing skills and critical thinking abilities will be utilized in providing one-on-one patient care and education. Volunteering as a nurse at CommunityHealth is different than other volunteer clinic settings, because volunteer nurses at CommunityHealth work independently, seeing their own patient visits for medication refills and blood pressure checks. While these are the main categories of RN visits, nurse appointments frequently encompass patient health education, medication management and instruction. This is an incredibly rewarding volunteer opportunity where you will be able to make a direct impact with every volunteer encounter.

Schedule/Commitment: At least two 4hr shifts/month for one year
