Medical Records Support

Location: Lederman Family Health Center (West Town)

Training: 1hr info session (virtual), on-the-job training

Prerequisites: proof of COVID-19 vaccination + booster when eligible, negative TB test within the last year

No previous experience required – this is a great entry-level administrative role for those who do not yet have the language or clinical skills required for some of our other volunteer roles, and also a nice fit for those who enjoy more administrative/behind-the-scenes work.

Responsibilities: Medical records volunteers help keep our patient records up to date, ensuring inactive patients are inactivated in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and purging relevant paper charts. You will learn the basics of how to read medical records, as well as how to navigate our EMR.

Schedule/Commitment: At least two 4hr shifts/month for at least three months – typically Saturday mornings, 9am-1pm

Please contact Malon Hodges, Volunteer and Training Programs Coordinator, with any specific questions.
