Medical Records Support

Location: West Town

Training: 1hr general info session, on-the-job training

Prerequisites:  Negative TB test within the last year, COVID-19 vaccination records

Responsibilities: Medical records volunteers help keep our patient records up to date, ensuring inactive patients are inactivated in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and purging relevant paper charts. You will learn the basics of how to read medical records, as well as how to navigate our EMR. This is a great entry-level administrative role for those who do not yet have the language or clinical skills required for some of our other volunteer roles, and also a nice fit for those who enjoy more admin/behind-the-scenes work.

Commitment: At least two 4hr shifts/month for one year – typically Saturday mornings, 9a-1p
