As immigrants arrive in buses from Texas, health providers get to work

“Onward House generally refers health care to the free CommunityHealth Clinic, whose main offices are in West Town on Chicago Avenue, which opened a telehealth microclinic at Onward during the pandemic.

“Stephanie Willding, CEO of CommunityHealth, said her staff at the Belmont Cragin telehealth site can do a lot of triages for the incoming immigrants, who then later can come to CommunityHealth’s main offices for primary care, specialty care, behavioral health, dental and optical.”
