On September 1st, you have the chance to hear from President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Illinois, Jennifer Welch, the keynote speaker at our Eighth Annual All In™ Breakfast Summit. In the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we could not be more thrilled to provide a platform for Jennifer Welch to share her experiences in the field of reproductive health care.
Jennifer Welch is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Illinois and Planned Parenthood Illinois Action. More than 30 years ago, Jennifer worked as a healthcare assistant at Planned Parenthood. Today she continues to hold the same belief she did then: people should be empowered to make independent, informed decision about their sexual and reproductive lives.
Before coming to PPIL, Jennifer was First Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS), which serves the city’s most vulnerable populations, including children in poverty, youth, seniors, people who are homeless, and domestic violence survivors and their children. Previously, at the Office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, she worked as the Women’s Policy Advisor and then as the Policy Director.
Before her tenure in government, Jennifer was the Executive Director of the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network, now known as the Network, which is the coalition of Chicagoland’s domestic violence service providers. Ms. Welch holds a JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and received her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She’s an avid cyclist and life-long Chicagoan.
The All In™ Breakfast Summit will take place in-person on September 1st 7:30am-10:00am at the Metropolitan Club (located inside Willis Tower). Register today!
